Hi, yes, your hostess with the mostest has been ridiculously stressed and not making posts here. Sorry 'bout that. Will try to do better. In the mean time ... EYE CANDY

In advance of lynch.'s next release later this month, the band released the PV for "XERO" this morning and oh look, now I know what I'll be writing about for my next Music Monday post!

Yup, going to watch this again for eye candy research purposes.

[info] Kansai Rock Summit '20

summit poster under here )

Crow Music has released the promo poster for their KANSAI ROCK SUMMIT'20 set for May 10th. This year there are ... NINE venues? Yeah, this is a big one, with more bands than you can shake a stick at. So many bands - 79 of them, in fact! Some of them I recognized (Aiolin, the Raid., Nazare), a lot more I don't, since I'm less tuned into the Osaka scene vs the Tokyo scene. But any way you look at it, it looks like it'll be a rocking good time! ;)

[info] V-Fes Japan 2020

So Cure and Mind-V have announced their spring VK event, this year bearing the name V-Fes. Japan. It looks like a promising line-up, though I'm a little sad that there aren't more older bands? The oldest band on the roster looks to be Alice Nine and thanks to the 2010s breaking time, I still think of them as being young in the VK movement (which, since VK goes back to the 80s, they are, but at the same time, they've been together for more than 15 years now). A little sad to see vistlip without D=out, but then D=out has a one-man already scheduled for that date. I recognize enough names to once again be a little sad to be on the wrong side of the planet for this event. ;)

Also a little surprised to see Kiryu, Royz, and BabyKingdom, but not Codomo Dragon (or zero[Hz], though they weren't at the BPR NYE event, either), but it could be a matter of space - I can think of several other younger bands plus a whole slew of older VK acts who also aren't represented here. Then again there's only so much space and time in a single day, even starting at 12:30. ;)

[info] Royz's upcoming maxi single!

Having just finished their winter one-man tour, Royz have now announced their 19th single, DAYDREAM, to be released on March 18th! This single will be preceded by a four date FC-only mini tour and then followed by a 15 stop spring one-man tour, with the final on May 9th.

DAYDREAM on CDJapan: Type A, Type B, Type C, Type D
I am not a CDJ affliate, just providing links. Note that type C or D will likely be available via assorted streaming services, both in and out of Japan, including iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify.

For tour info, check out their homepage: royz-web.net

I'll do a proper artist profile at some future point, but in the meantime, check out their most recent PV, "I AM WHAT I AM":

[Admin] WELCOME

Ok, I confess, last week kind of kicked my ass all up and down the block, but I'm here now and I have something sort of resembling a plan! I'll be putting up artist profiles once or twice a week, health allowing, plus info on events and tours as they pop up on my various SNS feeds. Which, since I do have my favorites and biases, will definitely not cover everything, so feel free to share news from your favorite bands if I miss it!

Introduction posts are not required, but if anyone wants to make such posts, feel free. Also more than happy to see graphics, pic dumps (under cuts!), and live reports if you have them! Spring tour season is coming! Heckin, some bands are already on tours even! So hopefully we can some action going around here going forward! ;)
